Overview

Fertility Acupuncture focuses on increasing blood flow to the ovaries and uterus and improving the reproductive environment. This leads to a potentially enhanced environment for egg development, and improved circulation in the uterine cavity for supporting implantation.

Acupuncture also supports your individual constitution and aims to help you better be able to respond to medications that will put your ovaries to work! Acupuncture also serves to reduce stress and anxiety levels, and improve sleep, all of which may influence a more positive outcome.

Experience personalized fertility support through acupuncture and herbal treatments tailored to you. Our patient-centered approach focuses on enhancing reproductive health by improving egg quality, balancing hormones, and boosting pelvic circulation.

How to Book Your Acupuncture Appointments

During IUI

Weekly acupuncture treatment is recommended leading up to, along with one timed treatment specifically within a day of the insemination. Weekly acupuncture treatments can be booked 4 weeks in advance to best prepare you for your IUI procedure.

During IVF or Egg Freezing

A more frequent regiment of acupuncture is encouraged to support the stimulation of the ovaries and support follicle growth. Sessions are scheduled 1-2 times weekly during the injections phase, with one timed for the day before egg retrieval. After retrieval, many women opt to continue care to help with recovering and resetting from the impacts of the cycle and preparing for any next steps.

Embryo Transfer

For embryo transfer, pre and post transfer treatments are then timed within 24 hours on either side of the transfer itself. For those doing a frozen embryo transfer in a different month from retrieval or using donor eggs, weekly acupuncture is also encouraged leading up to transfer day to prepare the uterine lining for implantation.
