As a Trauma-Informed Manual Therapist, there is a primary focus and commitment to your comfort and safety throughout our time together. My approach to wellness focuses on revealing and respecting the body’s inherent ability to autoregulate and how it is asking to be supported, while allowing it space for rehabilitation and restoration. Utilizing an expansive repertoire of General Swedish Massage, Myofascial and Dynamic Release techniques, Trigger Point Therapy, Strain/Counterstrain, Craniosacral Therapy, Osteoarticular Adjustments, Visceral techniques and more, the body is supported in returning to its most optimally functioning natural state as a dynamic living system.

Jenessa Van Schip

Myofunctional Therapy Provider, RDH

Jenessa is an orofacial myofunctional therapist and a registered dental hygienist, working in the dental field for over ten years. After having her first child, she discovered the effect of tethered oral tissues (tongue and other ties) on the breastfeeding relationship and early life and the multitude of symptoms that affect adult life. In her dental hygiene practice, she frequently sees clients with teeth clenching/grinding, jaw pain, headaches, orthodontic relapse, and sleep issues. After discovering Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. Jenessa enjoys working with all ages to improve oral function related to breathing, chewing, swallowing, speaking, and facial growth and development. Jenessa is a mom to three young children and enjoys a variety of hobbies, including volleyball, music, and spending time with her family.
